I don't find any significant differences between this normal
fingering and the alternative you mentioned below. The alternative
involves no change either of pitch or of tome quality, so either
would be OK, for me to use. I prefer to use what you call the
"normal" fingering, because that is the one I learned, and it works
fine for me. I do not experience any of the difficulty you mentioned,
although I do know what you're referring to.

Well, then you can take your pick of which to use.

As I said above, it doesn't make any difference on my oboe, which is
a Loree AK.

Again, no significant difference. I listen with an especially acute
ear, then I can detect a tiny difference, but it is so slight as to
be non-existent, for all practical purposes.

Maybe you should just work on this until you've got it perfect. But I
don't have any difficulty whatsoever. Sorry I can't help you any more.
