OK, here's the issue: the Brahms' Clarinet Quintet (or the Mozart
Oboe Quartet or any piece with a solo wind + strings). How does
tuning work the best, in your opinion? Should each string player
tune to the solo wind? Or the string group tune en masse to the solo
wind? Or should the 1st violin tune and then the other strings tune
to that, NOT to the solo wind?
