Ed,

Try a Howarth. You will then have another healthy
addiction. I have both & they both play wonderfully
well. I don't want to part with either one. If I
had to give up one it would be my old FH vintage
Loree. It takes some effort to keep the keys
adjusted. Elaine Douvas just worked on it at her
Carmel Valley oboe camp & of course it now p(the
blue stuff from Permatex) on three of the thread
screws to try to maintain stability of adjustment. I
am hopeful that the time spent adjusting will be
lessened as a result of this.
