Miriam,
I too did the exchange rate for that oboe and it came just a bit under
US10,000. OUCH!!!! But you know what? Long time ago there was a link
in Brian Moses's website to some Japanese site where they sell the
usual oboes, Yamaha, Loree and the rest and those too were ALOT more
expensive than the rest of the world ( at least US and France). Things
are usually ALOT more expensive in Japan even CDs and DVDs. I asked a
Japanese friend of mine why and she said that that's the way it is in
Japan. Everything is over priced!! It's Japan after all, hehehe. The
same goes for the UK.

BUt yeah that oboe "MODEL CLEMENT" looks tempting!!! Yummy!!! ;)
