I am so excited to see someone in a major orchestra NOT playing Loree. I
hope indeed that she is playing a Josef -- they are amazing horns. I only wish I
had the money to purchase one. I have been saying for years that there are
some other AMAZING horns out there that rival Loree and might be better. The
last three years at IDRS I have found three in particular that I keep going
back to -- the Josef being one of them.
As I have said many of times, I play on a Loree Oboe and EH, but my next
purchases will NOT be Loree horns. Granted Loree has done amazing things for the
oboe world, but its time we start realizing there are horns out there that
are just as good, if not some better, and more consistent.
Kudos to Ms. Koch and best of luck. I cannot wait to hear her on the Josef!
