Although I am advised that a paradox cannot exist because of the
impossibility of coexistence of contradictions, I wonder that the lady opts
for a less bright instrument as an aid to cutting through the "acoustical
mush" of the hall. What? Louder? The Cleveland aesthetic[s]? How different
from the aesthetics of Philadelphia?
It sounds like the writer is paid by the word. He has little to say and he
says it often.
