Dear Mark and List,
Here is what the "reviewer" wrote:
"When Koch was offered the ASO job, she was told she'd need a new instrumen=

to better conform with that Cleveland aesthetic, and to better cut through=20
the acoustical mush of the Woodruff Arts Center's Symphony Hall.
So she put away her bright Yamaha oboe and borrowed one of Woodhams' Lour=

instruments..."
Does this quote imply a "sound issue" internally within the Atlanta Symphon=
y=20
Orchestra? OR...just a reviewer's attempt to create some reader interest i=
n=20
her instrument when newspapers are struggling to survive?
I believe I am correct in saying that the entire ASO oboe/EH section plays=20
Lor=E9e; let us not jump to any conclusions from a critic who needs a spell=20=

Warm Regards,

Atlanta Baroque Orchestra
Why would they offer her the job if they didn't like something about
her sound? What if the different oboe doesn't solve the sound issue?
