From: "Oboe Lips" <oboelips@-----.com> Subj: [DR-L] More about Carpal tunnel--things that can help... Date: Wed, 06 Jun 2007 16:36:49 -0400
Greetings!
Just got back from vacation and read all my missed lists at once! So I'm a
bit late in adding in, but...in addition to all the great tips that I read
about in previous posts:
I found relief from Carpal Tunnel through a chiropractor and a "tens"
machine. I am very loose-jointed and double-jointed, and have had a few
whiplashes, so cervical mal-alignment was part of what caused my problem.
This may or may not be the case for you. The "tens" machine (most
chiropractors have one) facilitated the recovery. At one time, I could not
grip a pencil, nor turn my car's ignition...and due to the treatment, that's
behind me now.
Another thing: Problems with Carpal Tunnel, Plantar Fascititis or tendon
inflammation can be a symptom of low thyroid (admittedly, not common, but
more common than you might think). See Mary Shomon's book "Living with
Thyroid Disease". This was the case for me and a nasty plantar fascititis.
I am not a Doctor, but these are things that worked for me. If in doubt,
check it out! :)
Oboefully,
Deb G.
