Jones Double Reeds is in Spokane. (509)747-1224?

You might try calling the Seattle Youth Symphony 206-362-2300. They have
an "endangered instrument" program and you might get some good advice there.

You are lucky to have Keith Bowen in Seattle who specializes in bassoon
repair and his web site says he has student bassoons for sale (not rental)
(206) 523-4396. A rental bassoon might need work and may discourage
someone getting started.

I think Francine Peterson still teaches bassoon up in Seattle. I have
heard her students at the Marrowstone and they are quite proficient.
