While the there's no avoiding questions about the specifics of the=20
instrument, assuming the bassoon has been well-cared for, that would be a=20
very good price - the 7000 series Puchners are generally outstanding=20
instruments. Naturally, some are better than others, but if it was an=20
instrument imported by Custom Music and serviced by Hugh Cooper (it will=20
say Cooper-Puchner on the bell) you can assume it met very high standards=20
out-of-the box. However, there are some 7000 series Puchners that were=20
bought abroad and not serviced by Cooper, in which case all bets are off.
