Dear Ed,
I'm not a market expert but I believe most of Loree sales are in the
US market. A few people in Europe buy Loree. And a few people in the
US buy Rigoutat.
Last time i checked the prices of Lorees and Rigoutat pro models (not
the royal loree though) were the same and both were expensive.
I believe that pro top brand name oboes (Loree, Rigoutat and Marigaux)
are just like good functional, stable, up to pitch reeds. They are
good yet each one has a soul and a personality of its own.
> I am one of those persons who have never played a Rigoutat that I liked,<
Would you care to explain more and share your experience? I have a
Rigoutat that i'm happy with but i'm thinking about Lorees and willing
to "convert" just for the hell of it :)
