This quote reminds me of the time my stomach turned and I could no
longer watch football. Another 49 running back, not Roger, but John (I
can't recall the last name) was playing despite the doctors declaring
that basically he had no more cartilege in his knees. What an idiot!
And I was disgusted with the team that would play a man in this
condition, or a sport or society that would encourage a person to do so
much damage to their body. For what?

I'll consider watching the game again when the players show some sense
and their union bans concrete/astroturf surfaces. Ha. You'd think
they'd have the sense to insists on playing on real dirt and turf, as
it does so much less damage to the body.
