November 1, 2007 is the deadline for receipt of entries in the Co-op =20
Press competition for chamber music performers for their artistic =20
interpretation of the music of composer, Sy Brandon as exemplified in =20=

a digital recording of one of the selected competition pieces. A =20
panel of judges will award prizes of $700 and $300 to the first and =20
second place winners respectively. A release of the recording on an =20
Emeritus Recordings CD is included with the cash prizes. The works =20
for this competition that involve oboe and/or bassoon are =93Meditation =20=

and Dance=94 for oboe, cello, and harp; =93Sonatina=94 for oboe and =20
bassoon; "Two Vignettes" for solo alto saxophone with flute, clarinet =20=

and bassoon; and =93Three Preludes=94 for English horn and guitar. For =20=
