I sort of thought that, too.

But then I recalled having played most of "The Messiah" in a ballet at one
point.

I know the sentence didn't sound quite right...

but then, there's no flute in Mozart's "Requiem."

I'm still laughing about the NY Phil's new principal oboist tying his reeds
to a "stable."
