Out of the last 3 I made myself, I used the Brannen X and 2 turned out
usable; I scraped them too far in the preliminary scraping, and they are
rather light. One I tied on too crooked. But they turned out okay. As I was
out of practice, I was happy with the results. They leaked badly at first,
but they are okay now (after 3 wks).

I tend to prefer a narrow shape.
