in his apartment in Nazi-occupied Paris. One of his unwelcome visitors,
having noticed a picture of "Guernica," (his depiction of the destruction of the
Basque capital by German planes during the Spanish Civil War) on a table,
asked, "Did you do that?" "No," Picasso replied. "You did."
