Herb,
The soaker on my reed making desk keeps developing green particles at
the bottom of the water. It looks like clumps of spirogyra to me (or
clumps of very tiny frogs). Spirogyra in my mouth--on my reeds? Since I
don't have a microscope anymore, why don't I send you a sample for
confirmation. You could run a paritculate confirmation service and
graph the inhabitants of double reeders mouths across the globe--even
provide a map of this phenomen.
The reed soaker on my music stand develops flesh-colored particulate--go
figure.
On the other hand, you probably already know all about this.
