I have a score, and I could make some photocopies=20
of the Rheinfahrt for your friend. Please give me an address.

I am surprised to hear what you said about the=20
passage on the recordings, because all the ones I=20
know about do have it. The Rheinfahrt occurs at=20
the end of the very long Vorspiel or Prelude.=20
This is divided into 2 scenes: the 1st with the 3=20
Norns, and the 2nd where Brunhilde encourages=20
Siegfried to carry out new great heroic=20
deeds. The Rheinfahrt starts when he leaves her=20
on her Rock and goes off with her horse. The=20
piece provides a bridge between the Prelude and=20
the first act. This prelude itself is long enough to be a short opera.

The harp parts are all buried in the orchestral=20
texture and can hardly be heard, except maybe a=20
very little towards the end. Maybve that's why=20
you say they couldn't be found. Mostly they are=20
arpeggios and expanded variations of same. But=20
they do look like good material for an audition.
