I do think you can believe in reviews but it takes quite a long time
reading other reviews from the same author, you have to get to know
what he/she consider is a good or bad performance. Best of all is
attending the same concert (as audience) and read the review
afterwards comparing with what you thought yourself.

The best feedback is not a review, it's a live recording (for
technicalities) or a chat with the "real" audience where you can find
out their reason to say it was good or bad.
