I have a French system bassoon (Hawkes London) and have wondered why there
is no key for the rt thumb over the F hole. Also why not bridge to the pp
key for more ease in the lower register? If you could put the Bb in the
thumb position, it would solve my problem of bumping the third finger into
it all the time when I want to play a G.
