Are there any people playing French bassoon on the list? The reason I'm
asking is that I'll be adding keys to one soon and I'm wondering if anybody else
had had any work done like this. The French bassoon has no low E key and no RH
thumb Bb. I came up with a system for the Bb, and the bassoonist I'm doing the
work for has come up with something, but I haven't seen it yet. Just wondering
if anybody else had similar work done and what sort of system they had come
up with.
Interesting placement of the vent keys also. They're on the side of the tenor
joint as opposed to the back.
