Hello Richard (et al) I do rememer John Grant. He was a multimillionaire who
loved making commercial bassoon reeds. He made his fortune, he wrote to me,
in RCA endeavors in the east before moving to Chicago. He once offered to
buy up 100 copies of my bassoon newsletter "To The World's Bassoonists" to
help expand my mailing list back in 1970. Nice guy. Don't know if he is
still with us, but would love to know more about him someday. Sincerely,
Gerald Corey, Ottawa
