Dear List,

While openings are supposed to be posted in the International Musician,
if an ambitious player can find out who won a certain level audition,
he/she can see in advance of the I.M. announcement, where an opening is
going to happen. I think that it works like dominoes. . . So, I have to
agree with Kevin that this is just practical information and not an
invasion of privacy.

Does anyone else remember . . . hmmmm. . .was it 1964 when Arthur
Krieloff walked out of Pittsburgh, so Eldon Gatwood moved in leaving the
2nd job in Cleveland open, The guy from D.C. . .Felix Krause? went to
Cleveland so John Mack went to Washington leaving New Orleans open.
Meanwhile, there were openings in Dallas, and, I think, San Antonio It
happened something like that. . .an amazing parade of musical chairs!

2 cents
