Dear List:
I'm afraid I've done it again, and I must sincerely apologize to the list,
as well as make a clarification. I seem to have offended at least one member
to the point that we've lost them from the list. The party in question left
quietly, so I won't reveal their identity.
I am very sorry if my posts, on the subject of the ASO, have seemed to
evidence an eagerness to engage in gossip, of if they seemed lacking in
sensitivity. I am very interested in the future of the art of music in the
US and in the world, and the ASO is one of our more significant cultural
resources.
I am very sorry that my actions lead to the loss of a valued contributor.
Knowing that there are members of the Atlanta Symphony who are with us,
here, I would never say anything that I really intended to offend any of
them. Please understand that I did not intend any of my curiousity in any
sort of poor taste.
