Dear List:
Thanks for all the feedback on Boyz from Brazil in NYC story.I am astounded
by the impact of radio(!) in this computer age and would suggest Listers
seeking to publicize their well-prepared concerts to look into new venues.
Andy Warhol spoke of 15 minutes of fame but the late pop artist didn't
foresee our current age where it's hard enough to be famous for 15 seconds!
My colleague,the English cellist who had the foresight to enterhte
favela-slum orchestra and offer to play and conduct with them, sees gold
where others see trash.
A lesson for us all in various parts of the world.
