Subj: [DR-L] Plastic Tubular Oboe Reed Cases
Date: Tue, 25 Jul 2006 14:25:59 -0400

Hi everyone-

I'm looking for a specific type of plastic reed tubes. I obtained one where
the reed sticks inside the cap, and I cannot track down the original source.
Does anyone have any information that may lead to these?

This is a bad picture, but it may clarify what I mean:

I've already had two instances of damage caused by the more common type of
reed tubes where the reed is held in place by the tip with cotton shoved
into the end of the tube. I've also tried paper clipping the staple to the
plastic tube, but the staple-held-in-the-cap method seems much more secure.

Thanks for any info!

~Angela
