Dear Miriam,

Not a doctor here, but I have a son who as a small child had lots of
ear infections. From experience I know that ear problems are
tricky. I'd like to offer a couple of suggestions.

Keep up with the Sudafed for the full time suggested by your doc.

Try heat. I found, at a craft show, bears that had been filled with
rice. One heats it in a microwave for less than a minute, then you
hold it against the sore ear. This works very well! Even a hair
dryer on low setting blowing (carefully) at the ear can help.

Good luck,

Nora
