From: Chleo Jet <chleojet@-----.com> Subj: [DR-L] New Bassoon Coach at Kammermusik Woodwind Session... Date: Tue, 13 Jun 2006 19:25:28 -0400
I don't know who's been coaching/teaching at the
Kammermusik Woodwind Workshop in Santa Fe, but I do
know you're lucky to have Dennis Godburn for this
summer's session! Dennis is a colleague from NYC, and
I also had the great pleasure to work with him, when I
earned my D.M.A. at SUNY Stony Brook. What a treat -
especially his knowledge of all things baroque! I
would encourage any and all bassoonists to get to
Santa Fe, if possible, and "pick" Dennis' brain,
regarding baroque performance practice and for good
stylistic info for playing the baroque or modern
bassoon. Cheers, Jim
