Hi, Herb -

As a horn player, the mailing list of most interest to me is the horn
list (horn@-----. There are
no rules about message content, including advertising, "bad" words
and the like. The list members police themselves quite well.

Several years ago I spent a lot of time reading UC Boulder's rules
for user of their computer services. The rules and restrictions
imposed on the IDRS list have absolutely no basis in UC's rules. They
are fantasy on the part of the list administrator. I found that to be
most limiting, irritating and counter productive to intelligent
communication.

That is why I am no longer an IDRS member.
