For list members in the NYC area, the St. Cecilia
Chamber Ensemble will perform a concert tomorrow night
(8pm, May 7th) at the Church of St. Paul and St.
Andrew (86th Street & West End Ave., NYC). Works
include full-scale wind compositions by Nin and
Rheinberger, and Allan Stephenson's "Divertimento for
3 Bassoons & Contrabassoon" (written for the Berliner
Fagottquartett in 1995) will be featured (Don McGeen,
Jackie Henderson, Jim Jeter, bassoons; Gil Dejean,
contra). All are welcome!
Also, I just ran across this "Kitty & Chicken" website
- do turn on your sound and check it out - is it a
REAL bassoon, or a synthesizer???? (Really just an
excuse to see & hear a cute Japanese video!):
