receive a check for more than the cost of your goods. Your bank will cash
it. If you send the funds and the goods, decucting your share, you will be
out both. They depend on your banks trust of you so you have to be the one
to decide if a check is legit or not. The bank will take funds out of your
account to cover any bad check. The many variations of this are explained

This is commonly known as Nigerian Scams
