Doublereed Archive - Posting 000028.txt from 2006/04

Too many choices! I'm not at all sure more is better or more
compartmentalized is an improvement either. I like the mix of topics in the double reed list
as it stands now.
I'm dismayed at the possiblity of losing the bassoonists posts, or fingering
posts (if I go to he oboe bboard), but don't want to be surveying three
digests digests on a regular basis. I'm going to stick with the double reed list,
and hope that a majority of the other subscribers do so also.
Maybe those who split off will double post - to both their single instrument
list and the double reed list?
Things keep changing...oh well...

Due to popular demand, I've added a number of new BBoards (and
integrated a previous one that was under a different URL).
Keepers - The best of the best ... threads that are keepers. Email
BBoard@-----.
The Bassoon BBoard - A forum for bassoon players
The Clarinet BBoard - A forum for clarinet players
The Doublers BBoard - A place for all doublers of any type to exchange
information
The Ethnic Clarinet - Ethnic styles - klezmer, Macedonian, etc.
The Fingering Forum - Run by Tim Reichard, this is a place to discuss
fingerings for all
woodwind instruments, from tin whistle to contrabassoon
The Flute BBoard - A forum for flute players
The Horn BBoard - A forum for "French" horn players
The Oboe BBoard - A forum for oboe enthusiasts
The Clarinet, Oboe, Fingering, and Ethnic BBoards have been active for quite
some time - the Clarinet BBoard has over 200,000 posts since its inception.
Go to http://test.woodwind.org/clarinet/BBoard/index.html?f=0 to check
out the all the BBoards. There's still a bit of cleanup work to finish
up but everything is functional.
Word of mouth is what gets people interested - spread the word!
