That improvement was probably pioneered by Heckel LOL - don't tell me -
"required" only for Wagner operas and III oboe parts in Mahler
Symphonies????
Why not use hautbois d'amore or Cor Angle?
First I've ever heard of an oboe low A....but then nothing is surprising
these days.....
