Subj: [DR-L] Concert March 10, San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra

The San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra is performing at Old First
Church (on Sacramento & Van Ness) at 8pm, this Friday, March 10.
Of particular interest to oboists, perhaps, will be the inclusion of Mark
Alburger's Suite ("Sol[ar]"), written for Oboe, Piano and Percussion. We'll be
playing the first four movements (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth) of the
twelve-movement work.

Strong "Pacific Rim" influence this time, and a fair bit of chamber music as
well as pieces for chamber orchestra.
