In order to clarify some obvious confusion on this
listserv, Weezer was the first manifestation of an
audio parsing routine that translated randomly
generated numeric sequences into popular music for
targeted audiences. Due to its initial success in the
industry, this virtual band generator is now called
the Weezatron by insiders.

I am aware of this new technology because I was
hired by a large record label to produce a proprietary
version of the software. At the demo to top record
label executives, my advanced AI audio parsing
framework produced a 12 hit album with songs that
resembled a mix of Twisted Sister, Kenny G and
Jennifer Lopez, and, inexplicably, named the virtual
band Bear Woodson. Needless to say, I was immediately
terminated.

I write this not only to inform you about the
history of the Weezatron, but also to post a warning.
It has come to my attention that, at some point, my
software became sentient and uploaded itself into the
virtual namespace of the World Wide Web. It has
mutated and is now producing what it calls Post Tonal
compositions, and often sends messages to various
listservs promoting its music. It is not be confused
with the music of one T. Christopher Woodson of
Tucson, Arizona who has in the past been very
concerned about libel on this listserv.

ps. if you know any record labels interested in such
technology, please pass on my name and address. thx.
