There was a great quote, was it Dorothy Parker? Something about how awful a
gossip is, but that's who she'd most want to sit next to at a dinner party?
Someone must know the quote I'm talking about.
I find a "little" rudeness and disrespect goes a long way towards livening
things up, except the part where people start arguing about what is or is not
appropriate to argue about. THAT gets really tedious.
But honesty is great--there's a lot more to learn when people are willing to
risk being frank, and willing and grateful to occasionally stand corrected.
