As far as I remember - Stravinsky was among
Boulanger's teachers, so Copland was kind of a
second-generation Stravinsky student. And Boulanger,
in her turn, introduced Stravinsky and Copland in
Paris in the twenties. Later, they both taught at
Harvard. Many more links can be found. Especially the
neo-classisism label is one thing they have in common.
