Jackie,
I played this piece in my very first job as oboist with the Woodwind
Arts Quintet in Milwaukee. The hornist in that quintet had been a
member of the Dorians previously. At one point, I still had the email
address of that fellow; let me see if I can locate it. Maybe he'd be
able to shed some light on this.
