Hi Everyone -

No, this isn't another recipe posting to the double reed list. I'm sending a
link to a my recent performance (Dec. 2) of a composition of mine, entitled
"Three Ways to Cook a Fish." Our group is called the San Francisco Composers
Chamber Orchestra. We are composers that have some performance skills and do a
couple concerts a year of each other's work. (We do tend to hire some ringers to
fill in a couple holes here and there.)

Our web-master seems to have broken it out into 4 files for the 3 movements
and 2 interludes. They are as follows:

fishI.asx (1st Mvmt)
fishi1.asx (1st interlude)
fishII.asx (2nd mvmt)
fishIII.asx (2nd interlude and 3rd mvmt)

I hope you enjoy it. I'm happy to have an opportunity to let folks hear a bit
of my playing. I swear, though, the jitters one gets in performance! I have a
long list of mistakes, especially in the first movement, which I will try and
restrain myself from enumerating.

I'm hoping to finish up the last details of the printing of the work (cover
design is the biggest remaining task) and offer the sheet music for sale. It
will come with a CD of an "electronic gamelon" that was the original
accompaniment, and can be used in performance as an alternative to the piano
accompaniment. It's a bit more noisy/clangy/colorful than the straight piano. Though I
must say Alexis Alrich did a wonderful job of accompanying! At this point I can't
say which version I prefer, I like both so much.

Wishing you all great Holiday feasts,

- Phil Freihofner
