We will be doing a pops concert in a couple of months which will
include the William Tell overture. Of course this means playing the
famous Cor solo, and at a pace which will not leave the flute tied in
knots. As many will know, there are 20-odd consecutive bars after
letter H, with no obvious place to breathe. Hyperventilation over
this length of time seems like an invitation to 'shallow-water
blackout' <g>.

Can anyone suggest the most appropriate spot(s) to sneak a breath?
