Hi!
Thank you so much for the information, especially from Dr.Kent Moore!
I believed I obtained a Trio from you quite a while back and I tried playing
it with 2 other bassoonists and it was FANTASTIC.
Too bad I misplaced the scores somewhere..
Anyway the talk on Miroshnikov is getting really interesting, though the
leads are pretty few with regards to his background.
I tried asking my Russian bassoon friend just a while ago on MSN but he
couldn't find much too on Russian websites.
I intend to crap a little in my program notes and perhaps write in some
comments of my mine, but what I am interested in, is why nobody knows
anything about Miroshnikov!?
Like what (Dr?) Ed Lacy said, he may be born in 1925, which means he is
about 80 years old now (pretty possible).
I intend to email him or call him if I ever get hold of either contacts,
which is very unlikely.
Perhaps to also get the music score of Adagio too, since I have never heard
it before and would love to try it.
I will still continue to search the 13th, 14th and etc. pages of the search
engines.. and see if I can find anything.
Regarding Jacob's Partita, if anyone has short notes on his five movements,
that will be great news for me!
By the way I am doing just a short recital of Elgar's Romance, Miroshnikov's
Scherzo, Hindemith's Sonate and Jacob's Partita.
Not a very long programme, perhaps just some short bassoon music for an
evening.
Thanks!
Daniel
