Helll Richard and all:
I just tried a new fingering for this high G/Bb as requested. On my
Heckel --- it works!
For the G, finger: <LH !/2 X, X, X, low Eb LT. wh key (briefly, for this
note only)/ RH 0, 0, 0, Ab key > Now, for each Bb,
add the high a' and c" keys plus the c/c# trill key right index finger. This
gives a perfectly in tune high Bb for my Heckel.
I cannot speak for the need to play it pianissimo. I can play it well at mp
to mf or louder levels. Maybe a very good reed for quiet playing would allow
this combination at pp. Give it a try and let me know how it works on your
bassoons! (Sorry I did not include it in my new book "Bassoon Trills, Shakes
and Skills". Sincerely, Gerald Corey geraldcorey@-----.ca
