For you young kids out there:
There were, to my knowledge two Schmutzig method books, one for horn and
one for woodwinds. They came out about sixty years ago and were VERY
funny . . .the horn book, especially. They were presented as serious
method books but all the material was unplayable, a sort of parody on
what is expected to be played. An audition scenario is presented with
every player's nightmare occuring. . . . .
Let me look for mine and if I can find them, I'll provide more info.
