Subj: [DR-L] BASSOON: new commission project with Bill Douglas

Dear Colleagues:
I would like to let all of the bassoonists know of a new commissioning project
with composer and bassoonist Bill Douglas. I am spearheading the project to
have Bill write a 16-minute work for clarinet, bassoon, and piano.
With 34 people signed on as commissioners (coming from both the bassoon and
clarinet pools), the cost per person would be $150; the price would go down if
we have more participants. All participants would have a multi-year
exclusivity agreement on performances before the piece is made available for
the general public.
