I have a chipped tooth that was lacerating my lower lip.. I find that
folding tobacco paper over my teeth before I play eliminates the
problem, as does an application of dental wax (used for braces)

Hope this helps!!

Subject: [DR-L] Dracula playing Oboe

Hi,
I have a little bit of a problem and I was wondering if anyone here have
had something similar. My upper canine teeth (3rd from center) are a bit
sharp. If they were a little bit longer then I'd qualify for being a
vampire. But the the left one is a bit pointy and when I roll my lips in
to play the oboe, I find out that I have a tiny cuthole right above the
inside of the upper lip. It can be annoying sometimes especially when
it's been a while since I played and my embouchure is tense at first.

I was thinking maybe I should have my dentist do some filing on 'em and
flatten my fangs? wwVwwwVww
