Hello,
I don't think you can beat David Stevens staples. I
have been using them (his "Professional" nickel silver
47 mm, best cork) for about a year. They are extremely
well made & easy to tie cane onto, as they have
raised spirals at the top which grip the gouged side
of the cane, thus aiding greatly in preventing the
cane from twisting while tying. He doesn't have an
email address but you can mail or call him to order.
He & wife Julie are very caring & cordial.
