I think it is safe to say this list is smaller than the vaunted IDRS
list which many of of us have had bad experiences with and
unsubscribed from. My point is not to dis the other list but to point
out the obvious advantages of self-moderation. This list has fewer
flame wars, bans etc. because although one person selflessly keeps
things running, he does not dole out punishment when he decides it is
appropriate, or when a certain number have complained about a person
or a post. I ask that people refer to my first post regarding this
topic only to be reminded what happens when one person has total
control.
I am now jumping off of my soapbox. You may return to your previous
activities.
