This sounds like a Chinese idiom that we have! (Almost exact translation =

seems!)

On some occasions, I've felt, as a performer, that the group that I am
performing with, is playing the 'harp' for an audience of 'buffaloes'
(imagine the audience flicking their tales, chewing on grass, and =
blinking
slowly at the performers, regardless of what music is being played)
