Hi Miriam,
I don't know anything about your level of playing so
sorry if this is a bit remedial.
Unless you have a problem with flatness on your both
of the G#'s, in and above the staff, I wouldn't do
anything as drastic as raising the height of the G#
pad.
The two standard fingerings for F are the most stable,
although there is a short fingering (I /2-g#|---). But
if I remember correctly, the 2 standard fingerings
work well for the Serenade: (I /2-g#d#|-23) when
coming from D or E and (I /2-B|g#-23d#) when coming
from Eb. I suggest you first make sure that you're
taking enough reed into your mouth and then adjust the
pitch with your embouchure.
