Hi all,
I was looking at the humidifiers someone suggested using for bassoons and it
seemed to me from the photo on the web site that they looked like they were
filled with some crystalline substance.
As it was time to refill my (oboe) humidifier anyway, I thought I might as
well use the super water absorbent crystals I have to put in potting soil. I
figure it would eliminate any chance of leaking at least, but am wondering
if this is going to give me the right level of humidity; I don't have an
indicator.
Also, I thought I could easily make one of these out of a tubular plastic
oboe reed container with holes pierced (or drilled or melted) on just one
side of it. Thoughts on how this might or might not be effective?
Miriam
